A group of students at A.C. Moore Elementary School in Atmore volunteered to demonstrate the singing game "Miss Jenny O. Jones."  We were joined in Atmore by Mozella Longmire, who was 17 years old when she recorded children's songs and games for Byron Arnold in 1947. Mrs. Longmire taught them the version she sang that is on the Bullfrog Jumped CD, then the children sang  Little Sally Walker as they sing today.  Compare it to the way the children sing it at Weeden Elementary in Florence.  You can see that the folksong has gone through a lot of changes, but is still alive and well in Alabama.
