THE CAUTHEN FUND

Joyce Cauthen’s dedication to the AFA includes twelve years of service on the Board of Directors and ten years as the AFA’s first Executive Director. In gratitude for her work and achievements, the AFA created the Joyce H. Cauthen Fellowship Fund in 2010 to provide research grants for the documentation and preservation of Alabama's traditional music and other folkways.
